rDataDAO operates as a fully decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), relying on active community participation and governance to drive the project's development and success. The governance structure is designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective decision-making.

The governance of rDataDAO is structured to involve the entire community, an elected Senate, and various appointed Mayors. This multi-tiered system allows for a balanced and democratic approach to managing the DAO.

Governance Tiers

rDataDAO Community

Definition: All holders of $RDAT tokens.

Normal Voting Powers:

  • Vote on all proposals in Snapshot.

  • Elect the Senate via periodic elections.

Supermajority Voting (66%) Powers:

  • Call for the dissolution and election of the Senate at any time.

  • Call for the dismissal of a Mayor at any time.

  • Call for the addition of another Senate Seat.

Senate

Definition: Elected Community Leaders entrusted with developing proposals and leading the DAO.

Initial Composition: 3 Senators.

Expansion: The number of Senators can be increased via a supermajority vote.

Compensation: 300 $RDAT / month.

Functions:

  • Craft and propose new policies and initiatives.

  • Manage Token Treasury.

  • Engage the community and create snapshot voting proposals.

  • Set up community votes for token holders.

  • Appoint Mayors for various functional areas.

  • Ensure the DAO's legal compliance for off-chain affairs.

  • Responsible for proposing budget approvals to the DAO.

Mayors

Definition: Persons appointed by the Senate for specific functional areas (can hold both Mayoral and Senate Roles).

Examples Include:

  • Partnerships and Integrations Mayor.

  • Development Mayor.

  • Tokenomics and Governance Mayor.

  • Community Growth and Marketing Mayor.

  • Events and Participation Mayor.

  • Community Support Mayor.

  • Education and Onboarding Mayor.

Compensation: Negotiated with the Senate and paid in $RDAT tokens.
